MAKR Registration

Just a reminder that all classes are half day sessions, even if 2 sessions are listed on the same day. Only sign up for both if you want to build 2 kites. Some have asked about skill level required. One or two classes state that they are not appropriate for beginners. For the rest, we have found a much better predictor of success in the class is your personal desire to complete the project. If you have questions about level of difficulty of the class, or exactly what the class is about, please do not hesitate to ask.

Be aware that prices change, and projects change. All class fees are based on the instructors best estimate as of right now. Class descriptions are also based on the instructors best intentions right now. Our instructors will be busy making samples, writing instructions and doing test sessions between now and March. Occasionally they have to change the project. If either is a concern for you, please let me know so I can keep you informed.

Our Saturday night theme is "Pirates of the Rock River". More details to follow.

As always, we depend on each of you for those great raffle prizes, and ticket purchases. We spend all that money on bringing instructors in from across the US and again this year from Europe.

The food is a highlight of the weekend for most, but not all. If you have very specific tastes, please do not hesitate to bring what keeps you happy and healthy. There is a refrigerator and micro wave in Eagles Nest for your use. If you have food allergies, please contact the staff at the phone listed in Logistics.

This is MAKR's 20th year of existence and my 7th year as coordinator. It is always a thrill to watch it come together and see the excitement build as all of you start trying to choose classes. We are very proud of our line up this year, and are thrilled that so many talented builders have chosen to spend the second weekend in March with us.

So print out the registration form , decorate an envelope and send it in! Then think about others who would enjoy MAKR and pass the word!
